Mega Flex Bitumen

MEGA FLEX BITUMEN is a cold applied thermoplastic polymer rubber modified putty required low heating to be workable (50 - 60 c°). It complied with ASTM D 1850.USESMEGA FLEX BITUMEN is recommended for sealing joint.Large open reservoirs.Joint in bituminous sheet water proofing.Irrigation canals.Sealing joint of metal flashing, gutters and sheet raps.ADVANTAGESDesigned for permanent immersion in water.Flexible and weather resistant.Easily applied by hand or gun.Resistant to bacteriological attack, diluted acids, alkalis and sulphates salts.Excellent slump resistance. Suitable for joint up to 40 mm wide.DESIGN CRITERIA Joint size: MEGA FLEX BITUMEN sealant may be applied to joint between 20 to 40 mm wide CHEMICAL RESISTANCEMEGA FLEX BITUMEN can resist :Dilute Acids, Dilute Alkalis and Bacteria.And can not resist :Petroleum solvent and Mineral oils.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONSTo achieve good workability and easy application immerse the thick polyethylene bag, which contains MEGA FLEX BITUMEN, in a hot water bath (50-60 c ) for 15 minutes.Avoid direct immersion of the MEGA FLEX BITUMEN material in the hot water without P.E. bag.Easily MEGA FLEX BITUMEN can be applied by hand or gun. PRIMINGPrior to the application of MEGA FLEX BITUMEN normally (1-4 hours), it is preferable to prime joints of concrete, stone brickwork, etc… by MEGA BITUMEN.Allow primer to be touch dry before application.
