Mega Cement Strip

MEGA CEMENT STRIP solvent for dissolving solid concrete and rust Suitable for etching of concrete floors and surfaces prior to application of resin or other surface coating.ADVANTAGESt dissolves concrete without the need for any manual cleaning & so eliminates damage to machinery & equipment. It dissolves the heaviest rust from equipment while good varnish remains unaffected. In cases where paint is rusted or weather – worm, this paint will be suitably dissolved too. It generates a phosphate coating on cleaned material which gives temporary rust protection when stored in weather – sheltered. No corrosive action with glass, plastic, rubber and most base metals. Rapid concrete etching action. DIRECTIONS OF USE Cleaning of small tools Dilute the highly concentrated MEGA CEMENT STRIP with water ( 1:5 –1:10).Immerse each piece of equipment in the diluted MEGA CEMENT STRIP.Take the pieces completely clean after 30 minutes to 4 hours (depending on kind and size of the solid concrete) . Cleaning large item of equipment For example Readymix Trucks. Concrete Mixers or Barrows.MEGA CEMENT STRIP should be liberally applied to the deposits by a soft broom and allowed to soak overnight if possible.If the surfaces of the deposit can be cracked by mechanical means this will speed up the operation. In severe cases more than one application may be necessary. On completion of dissolved deposits and loose materials, they should be brushed and washed away with clean water. Etching concrete floors For etching surfaces to remove laitance and give mechanical key before applying resin or other coating.MEGA CEMENT STRIP should be diluted with water and applied at the rate of approximately, 1 liter per 2 sq. meters. The dilution will depend on the condition of the floors and the degree of etching required but normally it will be between 1:2and 1:4 when the action has finished, wash down thoroughly with clean water. PRECAUTIONSMEGA CEMENT STRIP is acid – based and should be handled with care.It attacks zinc, aluminum and putty. In doubt about its effect on a material, test a small area before general application.HEALTH AND SAFETY-Avoid contact with skin -Rubber gloves and goggles should be worn.-Wash spillages with plenty of water.-Enclosed areas should be well ventilated.-If contact with eyes occurs, wash immediately with water and seek medical advice.
